“Classics are actually difficult, and you can interpret them in so many different ways. I think that's part of the appeal of reading a book about a classic, too. You get to read that author's distinctive interpretation, and there's the pleasure of thinking, 'I found that classic difficult or it didn't really resonate with me when I read it, but I can read it this way too.' I think it's a really good thing. I think the real answers lie in the classics.”

“고전이란 사실 어렵고 되게 해석을 다양하게 할 수 있잖아요. 고전에 대한 책을 또 읽는 게 그런 맛이 있는 것 같아요. 그 작가의 특유의 해석도 읽을 수 있고, 어떤 고전은 내가 읽었을 때 좀 어렵거나 크게 와닿지 않았는데, 이런 책을 이렇게도도 읽을 수 있구나 하는 그런 재미를 주는 되게 좋은 것 같아요. 진짜 답은 고전이 있는 것 같아요.”
