Sumin: I really like author Kim Cho-yeop. After discovering her work, I started enjoying novels too. I even recommended “If We Cannot Go at the Speed of Light” on Weverse. It was so fascinating that I thought you could make hundreds of movies based on the worlds in her works. And even though they’re science fiction and fantasy, I liked them even more because each story has a lesson in it. If I were to recommend some books I enjoyed reading, first, “Ordinary Words (Kim Eana).” Even just reading it, I thought, “The author’s thoughts are so healthy and profound.” The author felt like a “senior in life” to me. And then, “I Decided to Die One Year Later on My 29th Birthday (Hayama Amari).” As the title suggests, it tells of her journey from the day she decided to die a year later until that day arrived. I’ll stop there, since saying more could be a spoiler. (Laughs) I also recommend “The Only Hana on Earth (Jeong Serang).” I’m not usually someone who cries even when watching movies, but these two books were so sad that I shed tears while reading them. I think I actually get immersed more easily when reading books than when watching movies or dramas. When I read just the words and imagine things in the way I want, it feels like I find myself emotionally involved before I know it.
