“I don’t know much about painting, but I found the story of solving the riddle very interesting.”

Paul Christopher’s The Rembrandt Ghost is another book that deeply impressed him when he read it in 2008, a time when he had many worries as he took his first steps as an actor. It is an epic-scale, full-length mystery novel whose plot unfolds with Rembrandt’s paintings as clues. He confided, “At the time, I knew absolutely ‘zero’ about acting, so I would grab the director and senior colleagues and ask them questions,” and added, “I read it because I felt that, as an actor, I needed to convey a variety of sides and profound thoughts.” He said, “I don’t know much about painting, but I found the story of solving the riddle very interesting,” and explained, “Mystery novels with exciting developments help me interpret works as an actor.”
