The book I have here is The Old Woman with the Knife by Gu Byeong-mo. The story begins when a killer in her sixties named Jogak comes to be treated as a has-been, and events unfold as she develops a kind of compassion for living things. Actually, I first encountered Gu Byeong-mo’s books through Gills. I have a friend who’s a real bookworm, and I told that friend that I found Gills really enjoyable to read.
