Tablo introduces three books he recommends as having made him who he is today. Tablo, a singer, member of the hip-hop group Epik High, and father of his beloved daughter Haru, studied English literature, encountered many books, and enjoys reading as a bibliophile. He has shown a gift for songwriting that draws out empathy and left many memorable, emotional remarks during his time as a radio DJ. The books he has read recently and describes as “books that made me who I am today” are as follows. First is the comic book Calvin and Hobbes (Bill Watterson), which nine-year-old Tablo encountered and which brings back tender memories of his father. Second is The Dangerous Science Book (Randall Munroe), a book of unexpected questions that stimulates Tablo’s imagination. Also included is Your Pain Cannot Make a Single Leaf Green (Lee Seong-bok), a book like warm consolation that he received as a gift from actress Ko Hyun-jung.
