“I think people who’ve been wishing someone would write a book that really hits hard will be very satisfied with this one.”

I’m Go Ah-sung, an actress who loves books. The first book I read was Strike Your Heart, a novel by the French writer Amélie Nothomb. The female protagonist is a very [unclear] woman, and I found myself really empathizing with her as I read. I liked the writing style so much that I could say this book is absolutely my taste. For example, the protagonist’s mother has lived as an object of everyone’s admiration, and was also the object of jealousy, but she rather enjoys that. Then she becomes pregnant, and [the rest of this part is unclear]. I realized this from the passage about [unclear] being a wonderful value that brings about the [unclear] system. Honestly, I didn’t think it was a very [unclear] title, but it really does strike your heart. As I read the book, I thought that anyone who’s been feeling a little bored lately and wishing someone would write a book that really hits hard would be very satisfied with it.
