Sumin: I didn’t really like poetry collections before, either. But lately, I’ve been getting into poetry by reading (taking out and showing a poetry collection) ‘Love as Though You Have Never Been Hurt (Ryu Si-hwa).’ It’s a collection of poems selected by the author, and it isn’t difficult at all. It contains works by various poets, and there are even times when you don’t know who wrote a particular work. Everyone has their own thoughts, right? So I read each one, marveling, ‘How can someone think of something like this? How can they put it so beautifully?’ My favorite piece was the one that is also the title of the collection, ‘Love as Though You Have Never Been Hurt.’ Would you like me to read it? (laughs) “Dance as though no one is watching. Love as though you have never been hurt. Sing as though no one is listening. Work as though you don’t need the money. Live as though today were your last day.”
