““One familiar poetry collection, one I want to read anew. And this one is one I really love. I always carry three poetry collections in my bag.””

“One familiar poetry collection, one I want to read anew. And this one is one I really love. I always carry three poetry collections in my bag.” Three poets live inside his black eco-bag: Choi Seung-ja, Emily Dickinson, and Wisława Szymborska. Of these, the poetry collection he says he likes most is Choi Seung-ja’s Love in This Era, published in 1981. Every poem bears traces of heavily penciled underlining. He would often recite a line he liked. Is he a middle-aged man yearning for the youth he spent immersed in literature? No. This is part of a YouTube video in which Choi Jung-hoon (29), star vocalist of the group Jannabi, introduces the items in his bag.
