“On the holiday, Key went shopping, and Taemin and I went to the sea to have fun” (SHINee’s Onew). This is what SHINee’s Onew said in an interview at the press conference for the publication of ‘Children of the Sun,’ held on the 13th at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. The authors of ‘Children of the Sun’—SHINee members Taemin, Key, and Onew—were there that day. ‘Children of the Sun’ is a record of the cultural experiences SHINee members Onew, Key, and Taemin had while traveling in Barcelona. They explained, “This book contains natural photographs taken during the trip, and it’s a book you can see, hear, enjoy, and taste.” The book was written by the members in the style of a diary. That makes it more comfortable for readers to read. Key explained, “After debuting, I wanted to show this side of us. It’s a book that captures our natural selves.” Taemin said, “It was an opportunity to experience many things. When we’re working as singers, we just eat at the hotel and travel from place to place. But on this trip, we went all around Spain and visited restaurants. It was new to seek out and try the food in different places.” Onew said, “I found some leisure on this trip,” adding, “I’d drink coffee in the morning and be so relaxed that I’d even fall asleep.” They explained that they unanimously chose Barcelona as their destination because Spain’s passion and SHINee’s passion were alike.
