“The Giving Tree, but this feels less like it’s a person I am and more like an ideal I want to become.”

The Giving Tree, but this feels less like it’s a person I am and more like an ideal I want to become. Something I want to aspire to—it ends up giving everything away, right? How does it end? At the end, it becomes a stump, when the protagonist has grown old? It becomes a chair. Right, right. You say, “I want to be someone like The Giving Tree,” and what did you see? Yes. Ah, a chair.
