Demian By Hermann Hesse Even with its German origins, this book was actually a popular title in Korea. Demian also made an appearance in the Korean drama, The Producers starring Kim Soo Hyun and IU. According to a book reviewer, Demian taps into the particular Korean storytelling sensibility, “They are much more enamored of sad endings, and they tend to be much more patient with stories that unfold in such a way that the protagonists never had a real hope of changing the outcome.” Jisoo recommended this book in Blackpink’s reality show, Blackpink House.
